As a child my mom would bake these up - you put either plain or chocolate glaze. We'd eat these for breakfast on Sabbath mornings. I know, "Breakfast?!" Yup. Or we would have them for coffee time. Unfortunately I baked them a little too long but I figure with a nice thick layer of glaze they'll be perfectly fine. They're basically like cookies with a cake-like dough. This recipe calls for Dr. Oetker pudding mix which looks like thus and you can buy it in most grocery stores:
So yummy. Good childhood memories.
100 grams unsalted butter
100 grams sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
pinch of salt
1 package Dr. Oetker pudding mix - Vanilla, Almond or Cream flavour
3 tablespoons milk
250 grams flour
3 tsp baking powder
Cream the butter and sugar. Add vanilla and 2 eggs one at a time, salt and package of pudding mix. Mix together the dry ingredients and add alternately with the milk.
Drop by large spoonful onto a prepared cookie sheet and bake at 350 F. for 10-12 minutes.
I usually double the recipe because it makes a good amount for snacking purposes for at least 4-5 days! :-) Enjoy!

These are pre-baked. I'll have to take a photo of the completed project and add it later.
